The Medical Wellness Instructor position is responsible for the administration and operation of the Medical Wellness programs offered within the South Shore YMCA for Seniors, adults, teens and youth including Blood Pressure clinics throughout the year. Additionally, this role is responsible for any administrative work assigned to by any Grant (Federal or State Funding) – Some of the job duties and responsibilities are (but not limited to): Scheduling, organizing, teaching/coaching, filing and entering data.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University preferred.
- 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Medical Wellness special populations is preferred.
- Nursing Experience is preferred.
- The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with children & families, staff, volunteers, community leaders, agencies and members.
- Effective communication skills, the ability to deliver good customer service and a high level of enthusiasm are required.
- Proven supervisory skills in hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating staff
