The South Shore YMCA is looking for passionate, nurturing Teachers and Lead Teachers dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This opening is at State Street Early Learning Center at Hale Family YMCA.
Your Role Will Include:
- Create & Implement: Develop engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
- Nurture & Support: Foster strong relationships with children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
- Ensure Safety & Inclusion: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
- Collaborate & Grow: Work with a team of educators to create a positive, cohesive classroom atmosphere.
- Meet High Standards: Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Teacher: Must hold EEC Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
- Lead Teacher: Must hold EEC Lead Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
- Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
- Classroom experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
- This role requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage in activities such as climbing, running, and outdoor play.
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time):
- $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
