What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk - Generalist position at South Shore YMCA?
This position is responsible for the accurate processing of Child Care Enrollments, Child Care Billing, Government Voucher Payments, and Pledge Entry into Member Service System. This position will also serve as a back up for Payroll and HR (on an emergency basis). This position will also review and monitor other receivable balances as needed.
Core Expectations
CHILD CARE
Register children into the child care program, process billing, track balance dues, and modify registrations as needed. This will include the state Voucher program and private pay children.
DONATIONS
Enter donations into the member management system, record payments from Staff pledges, record payments from other individuals and events as needed.
CAMP REGISTRAR
Assist branches with Camp registration into member management system.
Backup For Paycom Functions
At times, this position will assist with high volume on boarding times in HR. This position may be trained to act as a back up for Payroll.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & SUPPORT
Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and events.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university is preferred
- 2-4 years related experience
- Experience working with an accounting database
- Strong analytical skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel
