Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout each shift
- Lead and motivate staff by providing training, coaching, and development to foster a high-performing team
- Manage food preparation, cooking processes, and food safety standards to maintain quality and consistency
- Handle POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Supervise inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize food and beverage stock levels
- Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring excellent customer service
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management with a strong background in restaurant operations, ideally within quick service or fast food environments
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling is essential
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with skills in staff training, interviewing, and team management
- Familiarity with inventory control practices, budgeting, and food cost management
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on hospitality management and customer service excellence
- Ability to thrive under pressure in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and staff development
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry is highly desirable
