Job Summary
South Shore Millwork is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Millwork Molder Operator to operate and maintain a Weinig 6-Head Molder in our custom millwork facility in Norton, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural woodwork, precision machining, and quality craftsmanship to produce high-end moldings, profiles, and custom millwork components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust a Weinig 6-head molder for production runs
- Read and interpret shop drawings, profiles, and work orders
- Select, install, and align cutter heads and tooling to meet specifications
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production
- Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and troubleshooting
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, finish, and consistency
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience operating a Weinig or similar industrial molder (preferred)
- Strong understanding of architectural millwork and custom profiles
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and profile templates
- Knowledge of cutter head setup, tooling, feed speeds, and material handling
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-end architectural or custom millwork shops
- Familiarity with hardwoods, softwoods, and composite materials
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience

Salary : $45,000 - $70,000
