What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interpreter-FT Portuguese position at South Shore Community Action Council, Inc.?
Core Duties- Providing onsite language translation and interpretation
from/to Portuguese/English of forms, case files, signage, flyers,
brochures, and transportation announcements, menus, agency brochures and
documents, any required program documentation. Providing onsite and
in-home translation for clientele enrollment. Providing in person
translation for application process and intake process with clientele.
Assist clientele in matching appropriate documentation. Provide
classroom support for student and parent teacher interactions. Some
travel will be required between our programs in Plymouth, Marshfield and
Wareham. IRS mileage reimbursement for business trips outside of the
normal daily commute, as approved by the Director of Early Education and
Care. Core Qualifications- Current physical, and TB test prior to
beginning employment, Statement of no record ? CORI, Language skills ?
written & oral fluent in Portuguese/English. Experience working with
diverse populations of children and families. BA/BS degree or AS/AA in
Early Childhood Education, Human Services or similar. Community
Interpreter Certification Or Training Required. Minimum Requirements At
employment: All candidates must undergo a background check where
applicable; prior to beginning employment. Date of posting-5/29/26

found. Valid MA state driver?s license. Must be at least 18 yrs. of age
