The South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) community includes 15 schools supporting 8,000 students in Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco.

In February 2024, the School Board for SSFUSD adopted our new Vision and Five-Year Strategic Plan. As a senior leader, the Director will be responsible for leading and supporting initiatives to ensure the district delivers on its promises in the Strategic Plan.

School Support Assistant II


Job Summary:

Under the direction of the assigned school administrator, perform varied secretarial support duties involving frequent and responsible public contacts requiring an understanding of a process or functional area at a secondary school site; greet and assist visitors; assure smooth and efficient office operations.


The School Support Assistant II classification provides more diversified clerical support to a school office, requiring increased experience and an understanding of a process or functional area.


Education and Experience:

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of clerical or secretarial experience involving public contact.

South San Francisco High School

7.5 hrs/day; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Monday - Friday

Examination and Interview Process:

Candidates who successfully pass application screening will be required to participate in the following recruitment testing phases:


  • Written Examination Date: Friday, May 1, 2026
  • Performance Examination Date: Friday, May 8, 2026
  • Panel Interview Date: During the week of May 18, 2026 (Exact date is TBA)

  • Requests for alternate or rescheduled testing or interview dates will not be granted.
  • Candidates are expected to be available for all scheduled components of the recruitment testing process.
