Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and ensure they are seated promptly while maintaining a smooth flow of service in the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods, ensuring timely seating for all guests.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest needs and service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls promptly and addressing reservation requests or inquiries.
- Support the overall guest relations efforts by providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Previous Host/Host or food service experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
