Delivery Driver

South Lake Brewing Company is hiring a Delivery Driver to join our Wholesale team. This role focuses exclusively on the timely and professional delivery of SLBC products across South Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Basin, and the Sacramento region. The Delivery Driver will work closely with the Assistant Sales Manager and Warehouse Support to ensure accurate order fulfillment and route coordination.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position starting at $19/hr. The Delivery Driver reports directly to the Assistant Sales Manager, with day-to-day collaboration with our Production team.

Shifts will be scheduled Tuesday through Friday, with availability required during early mornings and longer days during peak delivery times. The Delivery Driver will work part-time during training and has the ability to work on average 30 hours a week with the potential for full time work dependent on seasonal trends. Alternative work schedules (such as 4-10 hour shifts) may be considered based on business needs, seasonal workload, and after a probationary training period.

Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

• Work closely with our Wholesale and Operations teams to ensure product is delivered to customers on time, accurately, and efficiently
• Deliver packaged beer product, kegs and cans, to wholesale/reseller accounts throughout South Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Basin, and distant wholesale accounts throughout the Sacramento area.
• Coordinate with Warehouse & Cellar Support to ensure all orders are prepped and ready before route start times
• Attend and assist with Festivals, Events, & Retail tastings as time/scheduling permits
• Load and unload delivery vehicle with kegs and cases of beer
• Maintain accurate delivery records, collect signed invoices, and accept cash-on-delivery payments where applicable
• Uphold merchandising and restocking standards at a variety of accounts
• Pick up and return keg shells from customer accounts, apply deposit refunds to customer accounts in Ekos
• Perform draft keg item transforms (bigger to smaller size keg transfers)
• Perform inventory checks and counts of beer inventory at SLBC locations
• Clean and maintain keg shells, fill clean
• Clean and maintain beer draft lines at the brewery tasting rooms and possibly reseller accounts
• Fulfill deliveries during designated and scheduled delivery times per account requirements and business needs
• Communicate well with fellow team members and management, mostly in-person or sometimes via other methods of communication (phone, email, text, Slack messages, Homebase, etc.)

Requirements:

• Be available to work longer days (up to 12 hours/day on occasion)
• Must be 21 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly unassisted or up to 160 lbs with assistance from co-workers and/or machinery
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license Required
• Have a clean driving record (experience operating and driving a commercial vehicle is a plus, CDL is not required)
• Be able to handle stressful situations including high traffic areas, driving in snow & rain, deliver products within the delivery time frames of certain customers, maintenance issues with vehicles, etc.
• Have a friendly and positive attitude toward management, coworkers, and customers at all times and communicate appropriately when additional resources and assistance is needed to safely perform job duties
• Show enthusiasm and passion for the company, brand, and products as a representative of South Lake Brewing Company
