Position Title: Preschool Coordinator / Part-time (0.5) FTEReports To: Principal and Director of Student ServicesType of Position: AdministrativeSummary of Preschool Coordinator Position: The Preschool Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of preschool programs at Peace Dale Elementary School. This includes supporting curriculum implementation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for young children. The Preschool Coordinator works collaboratively with school leadership, educators, and families to promote high-quality early childhood education. The Preschool Coordinator is the LEA for Preschool meetings and engages in all responsibilities of the ECC/Preschool Coordinator roles.
The ideal candidate will know how to cultivate a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community and demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels and backgrounds.Education/Certification/Teaching Experience: Masters Degree, Appropriate RI Administrative Licensure, Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience or Prior Administrative experience preferred. Experience in RI Early Learning Standards or willingness to complete necessary professional development. Responsibilities: LEA for Preschool meetings and Early Intervention ReferralsEarly Childhood Coordination for the district, including Child OutreachCoordinate and participate in Early Childhood Special Education school meetings and 504 meetings.Maintains high standards of Rhode Island Early Learning Standards including curriculum development and program evaluation.Supervise Preschool Certified Staff and Teaching Assistants including evaluations.Understanding and leading the IEP process for Preschool, including the Early Intervention Referral process.Maintain communication with parents about their childs progress and program information.Coordination PreK to K transition.Perform additional special assignments/related duties at the direction of the Director of Student Services.
