In this energetic position, you will engage in various tasks that include but not limited to, meter reading, repairing leaks, daily chlorine samples, work orders, preventative maintenance, and more . Your hands-on approach and dedication will help us achieve our goals while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
What you’ll do
- Meter reading
- Operate hand tools and power equipment to complete tasks effectively.
- Searching for leaks
- Follow instructions from supervisors to carry out tasks accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety.
- Workorders (turning meters on, off, etc.)
- Line locates
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to protect yourself and your teammates.
Basic qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to correctly read meters for billing.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to be on rotating call for one week at a time.
- Be able to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or general labor roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a labor-intensive environment.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation.
- CDL
