HEAD TELLER
The Head Teller will provide the Banking Center Manager with support, assistance, and leadership regarding all aspects of teller operations to ensure superior service is provided to all customers. Assure the financial service needs of each customer are promptly, accurately, and courteously fulfilled. Responsible for securing and maintaining vault, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and all consigned items at the Banking Center.

- Supporting Banking Center Manager in all areas of teller operations, including, but not limited to being responsible for daily supervision of Teller staff regarding, but not limited to, adherence to compliance policies and procedures, cash handling, coaching, and disciplining.
- Maintaining vault and ATM cash in an accurate manner; being responsible for replenishing and verifying cash shipments from Federal Reserve under dual control.
- Conducting quarterly surprise cash counts on all teller cash drawers, ATM, and vault cash (with assistance).
- Completing reports daily, weekly and/or monthly as identified by Operations and Compliance.
- Assisting Tellers in all phases of their daily duties, including customer transactions, balancing cash drawer and end of day procedures.
- Completing evaluations on teller team as deemed necessary by management.
- Training/Educating employees on bank products and services, Teller Policies and Procedures as well as standards set forth by other departments including regulatory requirements.
- Resolving and following-up on customer concerns and issues to provide quality customer service.
- Accepts and processes deposits, withdrawals and loan payments ensuring accurate posting
- Assist customer with processing transactions such as cashing checks and issuing cashier checks
- Following various Federal Regulations related to Funds Availability.
- Regulates ATM and night depository.
- Balancing cash drawer and vault cash the end of the shift, reporting any discrepancies to the Banking Center Manager.
- Remains knowledgeable of bank products, services, policies, and procedures so that they can be effectively communicated to employees and customers.
- Following trained policies and procedures presented from various departments within the bank.
- Being available to travel to any banking center location for support as requested by management, as well as work on Saturdays, when needed.
- Assisting with the opening/closing of the banking center, as necessary.
- Attending seminars and meetings as requested by management.
- Assisting in other assignments as requested by Banking Center Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- High school diploma or general education degree; one to two years college preferred
- Minimum of one to two years prior management or supervisory experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in a full-service financial institution or other retail customer service profession with exposure to cash handling
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with limited supervision, exercising own initiative and judgment
- Effective communication skills: ability to prepare and maintain confidential records and reports
- Use feedback for continuous improvement, and develop and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to use time efficiently
- Ability to learn and use system applications to complete teller duties
