We are partnering with a reputable and long-standing company in the Melbourne, Florida area that is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. What You'll Do:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare, review, and present GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal management reports
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
- Manage and oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and fixed assets
- Ensure proper revenue recognition, accruals, and expense management
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
- Partner closely with executive leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and operational guidance
- Assist with financial planning, KPI tracking, and performance analysis
- Act as a key liaison between accounting, operations, and senior leadership
What We're Looking For:
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team
