Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our organization that has been in business for 20 years managing $8–$10 million in accounts receivable. The CFO will oversee all aspects of finance, including accounting, budgeting, weekly payroll, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and risk management. As a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, the CFO will develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support organizational growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure fiscal sustainability. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial executive with strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proven track record of driving financial performance in a complex organization.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including mergers & acquisitions and business development initiatives.
- Process weekly payroll by Quickbooks desktop
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant regulations.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting analysis, and the development of robust financial projection models to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage risk analysis processes, risk management frameworks, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Direct treasury management activities such as cash flow optimization, expense management, cost control, and supply chain finance.
- Supervise the preparation of financial reports, interpretation of financial statements including profit & loss statements, and ensure accurate financial report writing for stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting processes, expense management, cost management strategies, and fiscal management to maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in finance with proven expertise in accounting systems and financial software.
- Strong background in corporate finance, governmental accounting (if applicable), nonprofit accounting (if applicable), and technical accounting standards such as ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations including SOX compliance, IFRS, IAS, GAAP standards, and tax accounting practices.
- Proficiency in risk analysis techniques, regulatory reporting requirements, financial modeling, forecasting analysis, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing finance teams across multiple functions such as payroll management, revenue cycle management, cost control initiatives, and supply chain finance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights; excellent negotiation skills; outstanding communication abilities for effective financial report writing and presentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable.
