What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse (WCC) position at South Davis Community Hospital?
South Davis Community Hospital Campus is currently looking for a Full Time Wound Care nurse. Each of our services plays an important role in our organization’s mission to bridge a continuation of medical care for patients of all ages with high-quality, proven services, including: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), Pediatric LTAC and Pediatric High Acuity Skilled Nursing.
Duties include assessing and treating wounds, working with physicians to implement plans of care and orders for wound care treatment, working with IDT team to implement all aspects of care related to patient and wound healing. Providing input to the wound care team. This position also includes the nurse to be able to assist staff nurses as needed on the floor with various cares when not performing wound care duties. Must be self motivated and able to work well with all personality types. Minimum 3 years of wound care experience.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be licensed and registered as an RN in Utah.
- Current Wound Care Certification.
- Unit specific certification preferred (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
