Job Summary
SDCH is hiring a full time Respiratory Therapist. We are looking for a CRT or RRT with a minimum of 12 months hospital &/or critical care respiratory experience to work on our hospital campus. You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for pediatric & adult patients with breathing disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct pediatric patient assessments to determine appropriate therapy
- Administer respiratory treatments and medications
- Monitor and record patients' progress and vital signs
- Educate patients and parents on respiratory health management
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care settings such as Critical Care and inpatient units
- Perform diagnostic tests (including ABG) to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
Requirements
-Current Utah RRT or CRT License
- Minimum 1 year pediatric respiratory experience in an acute care setting
- Knowledge of pediatric & adult respiratory care
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to respiratory systems
- Proficiency in assessing vital signs and patient responses
- Experience in critical care environments like ICU is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology
-ABG Experience is a plus
- Certification in (BLS, ACLS & PALS)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
