The University of South Dakota’s Office of the Registrar is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Veteran’s Compliance Officer. The position is responsible for accurately reporting to the Department of Veteran Affairs; managing the accuracy of records to ensure compliance with the policies/laws of the University, the Board of Regents, the State of South Dakota, and the federal government; serving as the certifying official for the University of South Dakota
The incumbent will have the ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets with functions and formulas, and to run and revise queries and Banner.
Knowledge of USD degree requirements, Veteran Affairs, or other training received as a result of interacting with the DVA is preferred. Knowledge of Title 38 of the Federal Code of Regulations, as demonstrated by experience is preferred. Must have the ability to be appointed a certifying official by the Department of Veteran Affairs. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
