The University of South Dakota Office of Admissions is seeking an energetic, goal‑oriented, and self‑motivated individual to join our team as an Admissions Counselor.
Responsibilities
- Guide prospective students and families through the college search and admissions process
- Represent USD at on‑campus and off‑campus recruitment events
- Assist students with financial aid and scholarship questions
- Present information about USD to prospective students and groups
- Use Salesforce and other software systems to manage recruitment activities
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support enrollment goals
- Evaluate prospective student applications and participate in admission decisions
- Travel as needed for recruitment and outreach
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Admissions or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of USD’s campus, academic programs, and admission standards is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative approach to building relationships with prospective students
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
