Role Description:

 

This is a full-time Interior Medical Construction Project Manager role based in Houston, TX. The Project Manager oversees interior healthcare and medical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines, tracking costs, reviewing drawings and specifications, issuing and monitoring RFIs and submittals, and coordinating subcontractors and vendors. The role also involves conducting regular site walks, monitoring quality and safety, resolving field issues, and maintaining clear communication with clients, design teams, and leadership. The Project Manager prepares progress reports, updates project documentation, supports change management, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility requirements.

 

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Monday through Friday.
  • Some weekend coordination will be required.

 

Travel:

  • Position will include travel around the Greater Houston area but will be based at our office located at 3235 Fuqua Street, Houston, TX 77047.


Qualifications:

  • Strong project leadership and organizational capabilities, including Project Management and Construction Project Management experience in interior and/or healthcare environments.
  • Hands-on Construction Management skills, with the ability to oversee field activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Project Coordination, including scheduling, documentation, RFIs, submittals, and communication across owners, architects, engineers, and trades.
  • Demonstrated experience with Budgeting, cost control, and forecasting, including change order management and alignment with project financial goals.
  • Experience with interior medical or healthcare construction projects, including familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and infection control practices.
  • Comfort with construction management software, scheduling tools, and standard office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED) are beneficial but not required.
