South Central Community Action Program (SCCAP) is seeking Teacher Aide/Assistant for our Head Start program in Monroe County. SCCAP is a non-profit social service agency that works to provide opportunities for low-income individuals and families to achieve personal and economic independence.
As a Teacher Aide/Assistant for Head Start, you will assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate lessons for a group of three- to five-year-old children and providing quality early childhood experiences. You will be responsible for ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of the children in the program by helping create an environment which fosters the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development of each child in your care. You will contribute to SCCAP and the broader community we serve by working with our youngest participants and help them prepare for success in school and life.
Minimum requirements: High school diploma, or equivalency with no previous experience; or any equivalent combination of education and training.
