Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Manager to support daily operations at our Rural Crisis Center in Covington County that will be moving to Brantley, AL in Crenshaw County.. This position plays an important role within our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model by ensuring individuals receiving crisis services have access to nutritious meals in a safe, clean, and structured environment. The Kitchen Manager helps support the overall therapeutic setting by maintaining smooth kitchen operations and promoting a welcoming, recovery-focused atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to cook, clean, and maintain an organized kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop as required
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous food service, kitchen management, or healthcare facility experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for individuals receiving services within the Rural Crisis Center
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and backstock to ensure proper ordering and availability of materials
- Develop and maintain meal planning and nutritional support in alignment with facility needs
- Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by maintaining appropriate kitchen operations and behavioral expectations
- Work collaboratively with staff to support the overall care and well-being of individuals in crisis
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and agency standards within the CCBHC care environment
ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
