Job Responsibilities
The Technology Support Services Manager is responsible for managing enterprise technology support services, software asset management, technology procurement activities, business application administration, and technology compliance functions. The position provides leadership and oversight for software licensing, vendor contracts, technology acquisitions, administrative technology services, and operational governance activities. Works closely with business units, Procurement, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology Services (ITS), the manager ensures technology assets, contracts, business applications, and support services are administered in accordance with agency policies, state regulations, contractual obligations, and security requirements. The position also provides oversight of agency collaboration technologies and the agency drone program.
Manages enterprise software licensing, subscriptions, maintenance agreements, technology contracts, and software asset management activities. Oversees licensing compliance, renewals, vendor audits, contract administration, and technology asset inventories to ensure compliance with agency, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Leads and coordinates technology acquisition activities, including requirements development, solicitations, statements of work, evaluations, contract amendments, and renewals. Collaborates with business units, Procurement, ITS Business Services, and vendors to procure technology products and services in accordance with state procurement regulations and agency standards. Provides management oversight and governance for application administrators supporting agency business applications.
Ensures effective administration of application security, user access, operational support processes, licensing coordination, and application lifecycle management activities. Directs technology compliance and governance activities, including security reviews, licensing compliance, audit coordination, documentation standards, administrative controls, and operational procedures. Ensures technology services and business applications comply with agency policies, state requirements, and contractual obligations. Oversees technologies and services supporting agency conference rooms, audiovisual systems, collaboration platforms, and scheduling solutions. Coordinates support, lifecycle planning, vendor services, and operational readiness activities. Provides administrative oversight and coordination for the agency drone program, including technology management, licensing, vendor coordination, compliance monitoring, and operational support activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and five (5) years of experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
