Minimum And Additional Requirements

- Assists with the development of instructional materials.
- Ensure records are maintained to meet aca and CLEE requirements and SCDC policies.
- Supervises up to 11 instructor/training LTS. Including disciplinary, EPMS, and evaluation of instructor facilitation skills.
- Provides specific guidance and assistance as appropriate.
- Maintains coordination of weekly scheduling synchronization meetings with all instructors.
- Monitors student activities including attendance, disciplinaries, terminations, return letters, etc. and takes appropriate action monitors leave and attendance of all instructors and ensures documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
- Conducts grooming inspections of students & instructors to ensure compliance with SCDC policy supervises instructor annual training requirements, T4T requirements and certifications.
- Assist with teaching/instruction when necessary.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift 40lbs and Complete and maintain physical agility assessments.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

SCDC Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma and three (3) years of experience in correctional, security, military, or police work to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for supervisory experience year for year (associate and above = 1 year).
- Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within one (1) year of entry into the position.
- Required to teaching/training experience; a bachelor's degree plus one (1) year teaching/training experience; or an associate’s degree plus two (2) years teaching/training experience; or a high school diploma plus three (3) years teaching/training experience.
- Must successfully acquire a CDL within 1 year and successfully complete the following T4T courses: basic, defensive driving, defensive tactics.
