POSITION TITLE: Secretary
SALARY RANGE:
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director, Food and Nutrition Services
OVERVIEW:
Provides high-level administrative and clerical support to the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS)
department. Serves as a central coordinator for department records, data entry, inventory reconciliation,
and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness in line with District and IDOE requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Running district-wide inventory reports and entering data into the Inventory Reconciliation
Document.
? Maintain the Operations Admin Team commons, ensuring daily and weekly recap documents
from Chefs, Supervisors, and Assistant Directors are properly filed and retained.
? Prepare, format, and distribute department correspondence, agendas, meeting minutes, and
routine reports on behalf of the FNS Director.
? Coordinate purchasing paperwork, invoices, vendor documentation, and reconcile receipts against
orders.
? Support audit readiness by organizing production records, compliance logs, and program
documentation for federal, state, and District reviews.
? Respond to inquiries from schools, parents, and vendors in a professional, customer-focused
manner; route issues to the appropriate Supervisors, Managers, and the Director.
? Perform other duties as assigned by the FNS Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred. Three (3) or more
years of administrative experience, preferably in a school district, food service, or similar operations
environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with
inventory, POS, and menu/production software. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion
with confidential information, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
