What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Helper position at South Bay Marina?
South Bay Marina is rapidly growing. We are a local Family owned Business for the past 9 years. We are looking for a candidate that has a pleasant and professional demeanor and that can help maintain the cleanliness and order of the grounds, as well as ensure boats are safely put in and taken out of the water.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Haul, block and launch boats
- The Yard Hand is responsible for assisting with carrying out tasks required to successfully achieve the service department objectives
- Work closely with the supervisor and assist fellow crew members as needed
- Operate yard machinery including hydraulic trailer, forklift, power washer, boat trailer, torch. etc.
- Grounds maintenance and marina cleanliness
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- Continuously follows policies and procedures while seeking out new and better ways of accomplishing duties
- Gladly provides responsive, and high level of service to our teammates and members
- Eagerly puts forth the extra effort to accomplish duties
- must be able to lift 50lbs

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
