What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician position at South 40 Veterinary Hospital?
This position provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarded and hospitalized pets. The Kennel Technician pays close attention to pets’ status such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention.
This position interacts with clients in person and by phone and e-mail. Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and kennel cards is critical.
The Kennel Technician pays close attention to details, understands and follows proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitors boarded and hospitalized pets.
All candidates must consent to drug screening and a background check before hiring.
