Barking Oaks Pet Resort, located in Central Texas, is a premier luxury pet care facility offering over 10,000 sq. ft. of space and 15,000 sq. ft. of outdoor play yards for pets. We are seeking 2 Kennel Technicians to help shape the foundation of Barking Oaks Pet Resort and grow with us as we expand. What You'll Do:
- Supervise & Care for Dogs: Monitor dogs in our daycare and kennel areas to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the facility clean and sanitary by regularly cleaning up after dogs and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
- Client Communication: Build positive relationships with pet owners by providing updates on their dogs' behavior, health, and progress.
- Provide Play & Engagement: Facilitate group play sessions and enrichment activities that promote the dogs' socialization and physical health.
- Be a Team Player: Work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the resort, especially during peak times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Love for Animals: A deep passion for working with dogs and other pets.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with pet owners and fellow staff members.
- Physical & Mental Agility: Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of performing physical tasks (e.g., cleaning, moving equipment, supervising play).
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evening shifts.
- Team-Oriented: Positive attitude and desire to contribute to the growth of the facility.
