Duties

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches using fresh ingredients, focusing on sourdough bread and other specialty items with attention to detail and presentation.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
• Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, credit card payments, and managing retail sales transactions with accuracy.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales performance while providing friendly customer service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicing machines, ovens, and other food prep tools, following proper procedures.
• Support team members with bussing tables, sanitation tasks, and general kitchen duties to ensure a smooth operation.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy hours without compromising quality or service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order processing.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced settings.
• Previous food industry or restaurant experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
