What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Technician position at SourceOne Corporation?
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for processing the flow of material in and out of the warehouse. In this role you would ensure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completes receiving and shipping of material moving through the warehouse.
- Verifies deliveries received against packing slips, purchase orders or other records from all suppliers, including but not limited to those shipped via 3rd party carriers. Returns or rejects damaged items, records shortages and notifies purchasing of any discrepancy.
- Operates forklift, or hand truck to move, convey, hoist, or deliver shipments from shipping-and-receiving area to storage, work, or department areas.
- Perform housekeeping duties as may be required to maintain a clean and safe environment in the distribution center.
- Maintains inventory accuracy to meet company objectives within standard operating procedures and cycle counting guidelines.
- Creates and provides reports as required.
- Assists other departments as needed with project inventory and delivering needed equipment to necessary service areas.
- Fulfills self-install service orders, return labels and fleet and facilities trouble tickets.
- Transports material as needed using company vehicle and/or box truck. Some deliveries will require overnight stay dependent upon length of travel.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager to ensure effective operation of the department and the Company.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess ability to obtain an Osha forklift operator certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- 2-3 years of previous logistics experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computerized inventory systems.
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.
- Ability to lift and handle supplies and equipment ranging from 50 -75 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers.
- Must possess valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving record.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
