Staff Accountant

Location: Hollywood, CA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year (depending on experience)

The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will own and execute core accounting functions while helping improve and scale financial processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable and expense management, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and collaborating across teams. You will work directly with the VP of Finance and gain hands-on exposure to cash flow management, financial reporting, and process design, providing a strong foundation for career growth into a senior accounting or finance role.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

·       Review invoices for correct coding, approvals, and supporting documentation

·       Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies

·       Coordinate with operations on timing of vendor payments, freight, and inventory

Accounts Receivable

·       Review customer invoices for accuracy prior to issuance

·       Support internal teams with billing inquiries

·       Monitor A/R aging

·       Support collections strategy and customer communication for past-due balances

Employee Expenses & Corporate Cards

·       Review and code company credit card transactions

·       Ensure proper documentation and expense categorization

General Accounting

·       Assist with account reconciliations and financial record maintenance

·       Support month-end close procedures

·       Maintain organized accounting documentation and audit trails

·       Assist in tracking and updating short-term cash flow forecasts

·       Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, controls, and reporting efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

·       Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

·       Degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field

·       Familiarity with A/P, A/R, and expense management processes

·       Proficiency with Excel

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)

·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities

·       Willingness to take ownership and be a self-starter that can own and run end-to-end processes

·       Strong follow-through and accountability

·       Bonus: Previous exposure to the supply chain industry and/or experience working with foreign currencies
