About the Role
A Senior CAD Technician is needed to convert field data, title documents, and project requirements into accurate, compliant, client-ready surveying deliverables. This is an on-site role where speed, clarity, and sound technical judgment are essential. The position requires independence, direct communication with project managers, and adherence to consistent CAD standards without heavy oversight.
What You’ll Handle Day-to-Day
The role supports boundary, topographic, construction, route, environmental, and other specialized survey work. Typical tasks include drafting boundary and ALTA surveys, preparing sketches and legal descriptions, laying out plats, handling subdivision revisions, and integrating title information. You will also produce topographic maps, corridor and route survey exhibits, utility locate/test-hole/boring plans, and various construction support drawings such as staking exhibits, as-builts, and 9-pin lot layouts.
Environmental and special-condition responsibilities may include tree surveys, wetland delineations, and flood elevation/LOMR drawings.
Across all deliverables, you will manage point files, reconcile field notes, maintain layers and standards, resolve data conflicts, and ensure final products are technically sound and easy for clients and agencies to work with.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have 4–6 years of direct land-survey CAD experience and strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. A solid understanding of boundary principles and the ability to interpret deeds, plats, easements, and title commitments are required. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple active projects.
Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential.
