Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the financial operations of a designated segment of the accounting department. This position is responsible for maintaining accuracy in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with internal financial processes, supporting audit activities, and producing timely and reliable financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff, including onboarding, training, evaluations, professional development, and daily coaching.
• Oversee general accounting functions such as monthly standard and non-standard journal entries, cost accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable batches, and general ledger coding. Investigate and resolve variances with the accounting team.
• Manage quarterly and annual audit processes. Coordinate internal and external audit requests and schedules. Ensure fixed asset register accuracy through audit preparation and monthly reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reporting packages for corporate consolidation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures, focusing on internal controls and process improvements.
• Identify, develop, and support best practices across multiple business units.
• Serve as the primary contact for capital expenditure requests. Review and organize supporting documentation, conduct financial analysis, and track budgets versus actual expenditures. Provide management with ad hoc reporting and insights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3 years of related supervisory experience in accounting or financial operations.
• Experienced with MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel
• Must be currently authorized to work here in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• SAP ERP experience.
• Experience working for a consumer product, food or beverage production company.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with high accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration
