Title: End-to-End Systems Engineer (Contract)
Pay Rate: $93.58/hour (W-2)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Summary: A leading autonomous mobility company is seeking an experienced End-to-End Systems Engineer to serve as the technical owner for the Operational Design Domain (ODD) across its autonomous vehicle platform. In this role, you will partner with engineering teams across vehicle systems, autonomy, software, hardware, and functional safety to define, maintain, and evolve system-level requirements that support the deployment of next-generation autonomous mobility solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a systems engineer with strong requirements management experience who enjoys collaborating across engineering disciplines, driving technical alignment, and translating complex concepts into well-defined, traceable system requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for the Operational Design Domain (ODD) across multiple vehicle platforms.
- Create, maintain, and evolve Operational Design Domains (ODDs) using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) requirements tools.
- Develop, maintain, and manage system requirements and technical documentation within Polarion.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define, review, and align ODD requirements, Concepts of Operations (ConOps), and system-level documentation.
- Facilitate technical reviews, enablement sessions, and cross-functional working groups.
- Collaborate with Functional Safety, Product Software, Vehicle Systems, Advanced Hardware, and Systems Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and achieve alignment.
- Ensure system requirements remain complete, traceable, and consistent throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support system verification, product readiness, and go-to-market planning through effective requirements management and stakeholder coordination.
- Drive technical discussions to resolve complex engineering issues and maintain documentation quality across multiple programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of engineering or systems engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion, Jama and IBM DOORS.
- Experience authoring, reviewing, and analyzing system requirements.
- Experience using Agentic AI and/or Large Language Models (LLMs) to support requirements development or analysis.
- Working knowledge of SysML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering and System of Systems Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering organizations.
- Experience facilitating technical discussions and driving cross-functional alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing requirements for autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, aerospace, or other complex embedded systems.
- Experience working with Operational Design Domains (ODDs), Concepts of Operations (ConOps), or system architecture documentation.
- Familiarity with functional safety and safety-critical engineering environments.
- Experience supporting end-to-end product development across software, hardware, and vehicle systems.
