Role Description
Soundwave Music Therapy is seeking Board-Certified Music Therapists (MT-BC) to provide services throughout Greater Jacksonville Florida. This position is primarily in-person, with some opportunities available for telehealth services based on client needs and therapist availability.
This role will begin as part-time, with opportunities for growth into full-time caseloads as services expand.

Board-Certified Therapists
All SOUNDWAVE therapists hold at minimum the MT-BC credential, reflecting formal music therapy education, supervised clinical training, and national board certification.
Clinical Oversight & Accountability
Therapists participate in routine supervision, case consultation, and treatment review to support consistent care, professional accountability, and high-quality clinical decision-making.
Supported by a Multidisciplinary Team
Care is supported by a broader SOUNDWAVE team, including clinical leadership, administrative coordination, and data-informed program support. This structure allows therapists to remain focused on providing high-quality client care while ensuring services are thoughtfully coordinated, documented, and professionally supported.
Qualifications
- MT-BC (Music Therapist – Board Certified) required
- Bachelor’s or higher in Music Therapy
- Experience developing and implementing treatment plans
- Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently across community-based settings
- Experience with telehealth services is a plus
