What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer position at SoundHR LLC?
Our small office relies on versatile employees. This means individuals who are thinkers, doers and communicators. They're problem-solvers and have skills in verbal and visual communication. They are able to translate existing skill sets into new applications, and adept at learning new skills, concepts and software.
Designer Duties:
- General office administration including record keeping, filing and library organization, mail and supply errands, and printing management.
- Marketing administration including contact updates, regular blog entries, quarterly newsletter and bi-annual mailer campaigns.
- Project Administration including general coordination, meeting minute updates and distribution, field report updates, coordination and preparation of base feasibility reports, and client meeting assistance.
- Design Assistance including product research, outline specification preparation, As-builts preparation, presentation preparation, preliminary code review and supervised design.
- Level of independence calibrated to experience.
Minimum requirements:
- 6 months to 1 years experience in a professional setting is preferred
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an Architecture or Environmental Design program and pursuing licensure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Freehand sketching skills
- Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office suite
- 2 years of CAD, BIM and/or SketchUp experience
- Experience with Graphisoft ArchiCAD is preferred; will train
Non-exempt position. Pay commensurate with experience.
