Summary of Company:

S&B Christ Consulting is a dynamic full-service Architectural/Engineering, environmental consulting and construction management small business founded in 2009 with a clear focus on customer service. We are headquartered in Las Vegas, NV with satellite offices in Colorado Springs, CO and San Diego, CA. We have performed work around the nation, but we generally focus on the central mountains and southwest region of the US performing work for federal agencies.

Summary of Position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to serve as an Architectural Designer. The designer shall prepare preliminary architectural design layouts and calculations as well as document project design information for assigned projects. The designer will support various Project Engineers and Project Managers. Designers may travel to job sites or facilities. Design requires knowledge of electrical and some mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with clients to understand project requirements, site conditions, budgets, and design preferences while providing professional architectural recommendations.

· Develop and modify architectural plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools, ensuring designs meet project specifications, timelines, and client expectations.

· Maintain accurate and organized records of architectural designs, drawings, and project documentation for project teams and management.

· Prepare project specifications including material selections, cost estimates, and construction timelines to support project feasibility and planning.

· Coordinate effectively with project teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.

· Stay current with industry trends and architectural technologies while proactively identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple design projects simultaneously
  • Experience in project planning and the development of technical specifications
  • Expertise in architectural design and drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and associated design software
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
  • BIM (Building Information Modeling) experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as architectural designer

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • General Office Activities: The role requires standard office activities, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and using computer workstations.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, such as computers, printers, and telephones.
  • Visual Acuity: Consistent visual attention to detail for reviewing technical drawings, reports, and computer screens.
  • Communication: Regular communication with team members and clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings, requiring clear speech and auditory comprehension.
  • Mobility: Occasional need to move about the office and visit different departments or offsite locations, which may involve walking, climbing stairs, or using elevators.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office Setting: The work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Frequent interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders in a collaborative workspace.
  • Meetings and Presentations: Regular participation in meetings and presentations, both in-person and virtually.
  • Site Visits: Occasional visits to project sites, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and physical terrains.
  • Travel: Occasional travel is required to attend client meetings, site visits, conferences, or training sessions.
  • Travel may involve extended periods away from the office and vary in frequency.
  • Equipment Use: Daily use of office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and telephones.
  • Work Hours: Standard office hours with a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and work/life balance.

Work Location: In person, Las Vegas, NV (No Remote work)
