We are hiring for both Hospitalist and Nocturnist positions. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be board-certified/eligible.
• We accept both internal medicine and family medicine trained physicians. Hospitalist experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling

• 7 days on, 7 days off.
• Open day hospitalist position shift is 8 AM – 8 PM, swing shift is 3 pm-1 am, and the nocturnist shift is 8 PM – 8 AM.
• Daily coverage for all positions is:
• Eleven daytime hospitalists (rounders 8a-8p), one admitter hospitalist (8a-8p)/day, one swing hospitalist (10-hour shift 3p-1a), and one nocturnist physician (8p-8a).
• Two-day APPs (one rounding, one admitting 8a-8p) and two night APPs (cross cover and admitting).
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical care and post-operative care to a 977-bed facility (241 beds covered by Sound).
• Manage the responsibility of the floor pager and collaborate with the Nocturnist.
• Receive a high volume of transfers from a broad referral area, including a Level IV trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center.
• Utilize EPIC EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.

• Compensation:
• Hourly compensation is $1900 – $2200, depending on shift worked.
• Daytime rounder base salary is $347K plus bonuses.
• Nocturnist rounder base salary is 402K plus bonuses.
