A leading global aviation services organisation is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead high-volume recruitment activities for hourly unionised and frontline operations employees.
This role is responsible for end-to-end recruitment strategy, workforce planning, talent attraction, vendor management, recruitment operations, and hiring process optimisation. The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders and HR stakeholders to ensure staffing goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with employment regulations and recruitment best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Leadership
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for high-volume frontline and operational positions.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified hourly and unionised talent.
- Drive hiring initiatives that support workforce growth and operational staffing requirements.
- Monitor recruitment performance metrics and implement improvements to increase hiring effectiveness.
Recruitment Operations & Workforce Planning
- Establish recruitment targets, performance measures, and return-on-investment metrics.
- Analyse hiring trends, workforce data, and staffing forecasts to support business planning.
- Develop proactive talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate recruitment reporting and workforce analytics.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary contact for staffing agencies, recruitment partners, and external talent providers.
- Partner with operational leaders and HR teams to understand workforce requirements and hiring priorities.
- Build relationships with colleges, community organisations, and talent networks to strengthen candidate pipelines.
- Support employer branding initiatives to enhance candidate attraction and engagement.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with federal, state, and local employment legislation.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers regarding recruitment policies and best practices.
- Support training initiatives related to recruitment compliance and interviewing standards.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes, systems, and candidate experience.
Team Leadership
- Coach and support recruitment team members to achieve hiring objectives.
- Drive accountability against recruitment goals and service level expectations.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven recruiting environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
- 2 years of leadership or team management experience.
- Strong background in high-volume recruitment environments.
- Experience recruiting within manufacturing, transportation, logistics, hospitality, food production, or similar operational industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment compliance.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruitment technology, and workforce analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
