Position Overview:
This senior-level finance leadership role is accountable for overseeing financial operations within a defined business unit, geographic territory, or functional area. The role involves strategic planning, cross-departmental coordination, and hands-on or supervisory execution of financial initiatives. Strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and effective project oversight are essential to ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional leadership to define and implement key financial strategies necessary to meet business performance targets.
- Collaborate with department heads to shape and deliver annual budgets, ongoing financial forecasts, and profitability plans across the territory.
- Lead monthly performance assessments for markets and regional units, interpreting variances in financial outcomes and identifying root causes of over- or under-performance.
- Direct and mentor a diverse team including financial managers, compliance personnel, inventory oversight staff, and profitability analysts to meet departmental objectives.
- Coordinate with centralized finance support teams to streamline operations, improve reporting, and enhance decision-making.
- Assess and model the financial implications of proposed initiatives, provide analytical support to other departments, and assist with profitability analysis for specific customer segments.
- Perform a broad range of financial functions and provide support across the business in pursuit of growth and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum of six years in a financial leadership or senior accounting role; prior experience in food distribution or service industries is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Demonstrated leadership, with a collaborative and proactive work ethic.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel regionally 1–3 times per month to support multi-site operations.
