Our client is seeking a DevOps Manager to oversee a team of engineers driving automation, distributed microservices, and back-end systems for on-prem and cloud platforms. This leadership role combines technical expertise with strategic vision to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Oversee automation initiatives for cloud and on-prem infrastructure, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to deliver robust, cloud-native solutions.
- Utilize technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, container orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes), configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform), and AWS services.
- Drive compliance and control automation projects across teams.
- Stay ahead of tech trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and occasionally contribute hands-on to code reviews and architecture decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 6 years of DevOps engineering experience.
- 4 years with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- 6 years of Unix/Linux system administration.
- 4 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years in DevOps engineering.
- Strong coding/scripting skills (Python, Java, SQL, Bash, etc.).
- Experience in infrastructure automation (on-prem & cloud).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Zabbix).
- Agile development and SRE environment experience.
