Role Overview:

A leading property insurer is seeking a Data Engineer III to design and implement robust data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure high standards of data quality, security, and compliance. This role supports advanced analytics and business insights, with opportunities to lead small-to-medium projects and collaborate on larger initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for structured and unstructured data.
• Deliver clean, reliable datasets for BI, analytics, and data science teams.
• Implement solutions using Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI Premium, and big data frameworks like Spark.
• Ensure data integrity, validate solutions, and maintain quality across systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Analysts, and Data Scientists on projects.
• Drive continuous improvement by automating processes and optimizing data delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills for cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with ETL/data orchestration tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS) and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with data lake architectures (Delta Lake, medallion design patterns) and columnar storage formats (Parquet).
• Experience with big data frameworks like Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala) is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI and semantic modeling concepts is desirable.
