Role Summary
This is a senior level position within the Security Operations function. You will be responsible for the architectural design and hands on implementation of security controls, as well as the active monitoring and neutralization of cyber threats. This role acts as a primary technical leader during complex security events and drives the evolution of the enterprise security posture.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise 24 7 security operations including triage and response across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
Manage the complete incident response lifecycle from initial detection through post mortem analysis and remediation.
Lead threat hunting activities using MITRE ATT CK frameworks and telemetry from XDR, SIEM, and identity platforms.
Develop and refine detection logic and correlation rules to increase alert fidelity and reduce noise.
Optimize security tools including CrowdStrike, SOAR platforms, and vulnerability management scanners.
Track and report on operational metrics such as mean time to detect and respond to ensure departmental efficiency.
Coordinate cross functional communication with legal, human resources, and executive leadership during critical incidents.
Mentor junior SOC analysts and establish standard operating procedures for the security team.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to strengthen organizational resilience.
Professional Requirements
Minimum of seven years of professional experience in cyber security.
Proven expertise in debugging active attacks and managing endpoint detection and multi factor authentication systems.
Technical proficiency with next generation firewalls, IDS IPS, WAF, PKI, and cloud security automation.
Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights for stakeholders.
Exceptional decision making skills under pressure and the ability to manage multiple high priority projects.
Background in scripting and automated response workflows.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, or PCI.
Education
A Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from 70,000 to 90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
