Fleet Transportation Analyst

About the Opportunity:
Our client, a massive global leader in the agribusiness and energy sectors, is looking for a detail-oriented Fleet Operations Analyst to join their centralized Fleet Services team. This is a pivotal role designed to streamline operations for DOT-regulated assets across North America. You will act as the "engine room" for fleet enablement—managing telematics systems, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing vendor relationships to support field teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Manage full-lifecycle telematics configurations, including hardware installation coordination, firmware thresholds, and user permission mapping.
- Data & Reporting: Validate and distribute critical reports regarding vehicle utilization, fuel consumption exceptions, and driver safety/compliance metrics.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records connecting VINs, devices, and drivers; handle hardware warranty claims and inventory tracking.
- Financial Support: Assist with billing audits, fuel card administration, SAP postings, and month-end accruals to ensure cost controls.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for telematics and fleet vendors, resolving service issues and validating invoices.
- Process Improvement: Identify data anomalies and work cross-functionally to standardize fleet workflows across multiple business units.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 2 years in Business Operations, Fleet Management, or Logistics.
- Technical Savvy: High proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Familiarity with telematics platforms (Geotab, Samsara, etc.) is a significant plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of DOT compliance, vehicle permitting, and multi-state regulatory requirements.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot trends in fuel usage or equipment data and translate them into actionable insights.
- Communication: Strong ability to influence field teams and coordinate effectively with external vendors.
Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Professional certifications (NAFA CAFS/CAFM) or specific DOT compliance training are highly valued.
