We're currently hiring Vehicle Safety Operators for a direct-hire opportunity supporting one of the most innovative autonomous vehicle programs in the industry.
💰 Starting Pay: $22.40/hour
🌙 Night Shift Differential: 10%
📍 Location: Austin, TX
📅 Full-Time Position
As a Vehicle Safety Operator, you'll play a critical role in the development of advanced driver-assistance and autonomous driving technology. This position combines professional driving, safety monitoring, and customer service responsibilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
🔹 Operate Tesla vehicles on public roads in both manual and autonomous driving modes
🔹 Collect real-world driving data to support the development and improvement of autonomous vehicle systems
🔹 Continuously monitor vehicle performance and road conditions to ensure safe operations
🔹 Accurately document observations, incidents, and system behavior during testing activities
🔹 Maintain a high level of situational awareness and quickly respond to changing traffic conditions
🔹 Provide a safe, professional, and positive experience for passengers riding in the vehicle
🔹 Follow detailed safety protocols and operational procedures at all times
🔹 Collaborate with internal teams to help improve vehicle performance and testing processes
Qualifications:
✅ Valid Texas Driver's License
✅ Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
✅ Clean driving record
✅ At least 18 years old
✅ Availability to work weekends
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused for extended periods
✅ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
