Election Security Guard

About the Role:

The Election Security Guard plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of election processes across various polling locations within the United States. The guard will monitor entrances, patrol designated areas, and respond promptly to any security incidents or suspicious activities. Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is required.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required security clearances.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with the public and election staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in security training or law enforcement (e.g., Security Guard License, CPR/First Aid).
• Experience working in election security or public event security.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal election laws and regulations.
• Ability to operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras and communication devices.
• Training in conflict resolution and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to polling stations and election facilities to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address potential security risks or disturbances.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any security incidents, emergencies, or conflicts that arise during election activities.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, election officials, and other security personnel to ensure comprehensive protection.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of security activities, incidents, and observations throughout the election period.
