Sorella's, an Italian Eatery is hiring for AM prep cooks. We are a contemporary Italian restaurant located at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach specializing in house made pastas, Neapolitan style pizzas, and craft cocktails. We are looking for hard working, dedicated individuals who are willing to learn and be a part of something truly special. We are actively seeking AM prep cooks, pizza cooks, and pasta cooks. Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Follow dietary restrictions and special requests for meals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with catering events as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen tools safely
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts
