Quality Technician

Responsible for providing the overall process and suggestive measures for improvement of manufacturing, develop and coordinate special activities programs necessary to meet and maintain quality standards and reliability of manufactured products.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Inspect In-Bound, Out-Bound and In-Process products. Make sure they meet quality standards. Record and analyze results and recommend quality improvements to management.

· Work with Plant Supervisor, and New Product Development Manger to develop and design manufacturing process for new products to ensure meeting or reducing the projected manufacturing costs.

· Evaluating the company’s products specification and examining them with customer requirements.

· Maintaining and setting up documentation and control procedures.

· Ensuring product compliance with international and national legislation and standards.

· Directing workers engaged in testing and measuring products, tabulating data relating product quality, and materials.

· Interact with customers regarding quality issues.

· Determine relevant quality associated training requirements and delivering training.

· New product set-up.

· Backup Plant Supervisor as required.

Education and Experience:

· Degree in Quality Technology and/or 5 years quality control. Certification from ASQ a plus. Background in molded or manufacturing urethane, rubber or plastic parts a plus.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Macola and relevant computer applications.
