About the work Sonshine Tree Care isn't a strip-and-drop outfit. We do preservation-focused work — pruning, cabling, risk assessment, and treatment plans that follow ANSI A300 and ISA Best Management Practices. If you've ever felt rushed past doing a cut right, or wanted to actually learn the "why" behind pruning decisions instead of just running a saw, this is a different kind of crew.
What you'll do
- Climb and perform pruning, structural work, and removals following ANSI A300 standards
- Work alongside risk assessments — you'll see the reasoning behind the plan, not just the plan
What we're looking for
- Climbing experience (rope and saddle; SRS/MRS both fine)
- Comfortable with a chainsaw at height
- ISA Certified Arborist a plus, but not required — we'll support you toward certification if you don't have it yet
- Genuine interest in doing the work well, not just fast
- Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
