Job Summary
The Lifeguard will oversee students during PE swim classes, ensuring a safe aquatic environment while teachers provide instruction. They will actively monitor the pool deck, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies as needed. This position requires current lifeguard certification, including CPR and first aid training. The Lifeguard will work collaboratively with PE teachers to prioritize student safety and maintain a secure and supervised swimming area.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Current and valid Lifeguard Certification from the American Red Cross or an equivalent organization. Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Ability to recognize and respond effectively to aquatic emergencies. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students. Prior experience as a lifeguard or working with youth in an aquatic setting is preferred.
