🏊 What You’ll Do
- Teach swim lessons and water safety skills following YMCA guidelines
- Maintain constant supervision to ensure a safe learning environment
- Build positive, supportive relationships with swimmers and families
- Prepare lesson plans and track attendance and swimmer progress
- Set up, organize, and care for class equipment
- Support and guide class aides as assigned
- Promote YMCA aquatics programs and encourage member engagement
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 16 years old
- CPR & First Aid for the Professional Rescuer with AED (or obtained within 60 days)
- YMCA Swim Lessons (YSL V6) certification (or obtained within 60 days)
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing, safety-first mindset
- DOJ & FBI fingerprint clearance required, which includes sex offender screening
